Samuel Ryder
Born: Mar. 24, 1858 the English seed merchant who donated the Ryder Cup in 1927 for competition between pro golfers
from the U.S. and Great Britain & Ireland (Europe from 23rd competition); made his fortune by coming up with idea of selling seeds in small packages,
he died: Jan. 2, 1936.
The scores to date are U.S. 24 wins, Europe (GB & Ireland) 9 wins with 2 draws
The 36th Ryder Cup tickets matches will take place in Ireland between Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th
September 2006 at the prestigious Kildare Golf and Country Club, Straffan, Co. Kildare.
Tickets for the 2006 Ryder Cup tickets are not yet available but are expected to be on sale throughout the European Tour
sometime in April or May 2005.
